We are situated just 5 minutes walk from a number of shops including a butchers, Deli/bread shop, grocers, post office and general store as well as a well stocked co-op store which opens until 10pm.

The Coffee Shop (The Vanilla Kitchen) serves food all day, Wednesday to Sunday, and the ice cream parlour/cafe open seven days a week.

Two shops supply fish and chips, kebabs etc  and all five pubs within the village are within walking distance of the B/B. All provide meals and many others pubs and restaurants within a short drive.

Tideswell also boasts the Tideswell School of Food a superb new facility in the heart of the village.  Why not book onto a cookery or brewing course during your stay at Bankfield Stable?  The Silva Navigation School also runs regular Map and Compass reading courses in Tideswell

Although on the edge of the village, the property is very close to many walks and just a stroll to our magnificent 12th century Church known locally as the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’.

The market towns of Bakewell and Buxton both very different in character are approximately 15 minutes drive from Tideswell  Both have many restaurants, and Buxton boasts  its own recently renovated  lovely old Opera house.
